During the guiding tour at The Acropolis of Athens you will be introduced about the mystery and the history of Parthenon – where a total of 2,675 tons of architectural members were restored, with 686 stones reassembled from fragments of the originals, 905 patched with new marble, and 186 parts made entirely of new marble. A total of 530 cubic meters of new Pentelic marble were used.

Furthermore, we will continue to visit for approximately 1 hour* The New Acropolis Museum to admire the exhibits illustrating 5000 years of history. It is an archaeological museum focused on the findings of the archaeological site of the Acropolis of Athens. The New Acropolis Museum was built in 2003 to house every artifact found on the rock and on its feet, from the Greek Bronze Age to Roman and Byzantine Greece. It also lies on the archaeological site of Makrygianni at the foot of the Acropolis hill.
*Note: Because the tour ends you can stay after the guiding tour as long as you want and afterwards scroll around Plaka area and return to the hotel on your own.
