SWIMMING
Organized GNTO beaches

Most of the GNTO public beaches offer full facilities such as dressung rooms,
piers, canoes, peddle-boats, fields for various games, tennis courts, volley and
basketball pitches, children's playgrounds, pastryshop, snackbar, restaurant,
self-service shops etc.

WATER SKIING
Organized GNTO beaches

Water ski training centers which also offer facilities for those already acquainted
with the sport, exist at the following locations:

Vouliagmeni Beach

The G. Kssidokosta School
Astir Vouliagmeni Beach,

Speedboats as well as windsurfing and Laser craft, dressing rooms and qualified
staff. Operates all year round. From June 1 to October 31, hours are 10am-8pm; from
November 1 to May 30, Sat., Sun. 11am-6pm.

Speedboats, windsurfers, Lasers and Catamarans, dressing rooms and qualified

Vouliagmeni Naval Club

Open year round 9am-5pm. The Club organizes annual water ski contests.

ROWING
Most of the naval clubs in Greece run a rowing section and have the
necessary craft. Regattas are usually organized from April to September.
For information, application should be made to the Hellenic Rowing
Federation at 22, Koumoundourou Quay in Piraeus, Tel 210-4118011-8.

SAILING
Easy access to the sea, numerous small islands, variety of beaches and the
weather conditions which prevail in Greece, make it an ideal place for the
visitor to try sailing.

WIND - SURFING
At all the beaches organized by the G.N.T.O. and at several water ski training
centers, there are wind-surfers for hire.

FISHING
Greek waters provide ideal fishing grounds for the amateur angler, especially
during summer and autumn. Boats and fishing tackle can be found in most
coastal towns and villages. At Piraeus, on Moutsopoulou Quay, individuals,
licensed by the Port Authority, can rent small craft and boats.

SWIMMING & DIVING LESSONS

These are given by the Hellenic Federation of Submarine Activities at
Aghios Kosmas, Elliniko, Tel (210) 9819961, 9823840 where a recognized training center
operates and can award single, double and triple star diplomas.
